About the Program
The RACGP CCE Combined Preparation Program (GP400) is a complete solution for GP registrars planning to sit the Clinical Competency Exam (CCE) Fellowship exam. The program combines two courses:
- RACGP CCE Preparation Online Bridging Course (GP204)
- RACGP CCE Preparation Advanced Strategies Course (GP205)
Subject Structure
The RACGP CCE Combined Preparation Program is completed online through IME's advanced student portal. The program includes all learning resources necessary for the study of the clinical theory and practical elements relevant to the RACGP CCE exam.
Via its two courses, the program comprises 40 comprehensive modules and tutorials that aim to further develop even the most skilled GP registrar. These modules are completed over a course of 40 weeks according to a provided study plan. During or after completion of these modules, candidates prepare for the CCE exam via completion of 10 full-length CCE Trial Exams. The program is supported by unlimited access to and support from course tutors. All tutors are specialist medical practitioners that provide expert guidance and clarification individualised to personal requirements.
Subject Content
The RACGP CCE Combined Preparation Program aims to extract maximum candidate performance in the RACGP CCE Fellowship exam. This is achieved by completing the two courses outlined below.
This course develops clinical reasoning skills in history taking, physical examination, investigations, diagnosis, public health issues, management, procedural skills, ethical & medico-legal issues and critical appraisal skills on core topics regularly examined in the RACGP Clinical Competency Exam (CCE). The RACGP CCE Preparation Online Bridging Course (GP204) is completed online through IME’s advanced Canvas LMS portal. The course consists of 40 comprehensive modules and clinical tutorials, to be completed over 40 weeks. The course is supported by unlimited access to expert clinical tutors all of whom are specialist medical practitioners that provide expert guidance and coaching individualised to personal requirements.

The RACGP online CCE course is comprised of ten complete and representative CCE trial exams each with CCE case scenarios that includes assessment scoring criteria and model answers. The course uses these CCE case-based scenarios to teach core principles, strategies and techniques for approaching the clinical presentations seen in the Fellowship CCE. The RACGP CCE Preparation Advanced Strategies Course is completed online through IME’s advanced Canvas LMS portal. It is supported by unlimited access to expert clinical tutors all of whom are specialist medical practitioners that provide expert guidance and coaching individualised to personal requirements.
Exit Examination
The formal exit examination for this course consists of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners Clinical Competency Exam (CCE) exam. This examination is conducted and operated independently through the RACGP. The costs of this exam is not included in the course fees for the program.
