What to Expect During Your PESCI Interview

Online PESCI Interview

Your PESCI interview is conducted online via Zoom and generally takes 60–90 minutes.

You will need to arrange a private, quiet venue with a stable internet connection. Test your equipment before the interview and ensure your device meets Zoom's requirements. Virtual backgrounds are not permitted, so your physical surroundings should be professional and appropriate.

PESCI Panel

Your assessment is conducted by a three-member panel, including a Panel Chair and two other panel members. The panel assesses your clinical knowledge, communication, clinical reasoning and ability to practise safely within the Australian healthcare setting.

Clinical Scenarios

During your PESCI assessment, you will be presented with four clinical scenarios reflecting situations commonly encountered in Australian general practice.

These scenarios allow you to demonstrate your clinical decision-making, communication skills, risk management and patient-centred care.
