AMC Exams

The AMC examinations are designed to assess, for registration purposes, the medical knowledge and clinical skills of international medical graduates (IMG’s) whose basic medical qualifications are not recognised by the Medical Board of Australia (MBA). 

The Institute of Medical Education provides comprehensive AMC exam preparation courses to facilitate preparation for and optimal performance in the AMC examination. IME is able to prepare international doctors for both the AMC MCQ CAT and the AMC Clinical examination. 

PESCI Interviews

The Institute of Medical Education is proud to be an AMC accredited PESCI Provider. International Medical Graduates (IMGs) that are applying for limited registration or provisional registration may be required to undergo a Pre-Employment Structured Clinical Interview (PESCI). A PESCI is an objective assessment of your knowledge, skills, clinical experience and attributes to determine whether you are suitable to practice in a specific position.
